I shoot a Traditions Trapper and a T/C Patriot, both in percussion. The Patriot holds a better group off a rest, but offhand, the Trapper is easier to shoot well with. Both are superbly accurate and easy to hit with, if the adjustable sights are allowed.
Revolvers can be quite accurate if you get a good one and work on load development. I've had the best luck with an Uberti 1858 so far, but I've heard a lot of good about their Rogers & Spencer, so that's going to be my next choice.
They're not terribly hard to clean once you develop a system. I remove the grips and dunk the field stripped gun into warm soapy water to soak a bit. A few passes down the barrel and through the chambers with a brush, a little wiping here and there on the gun, a rinse and oiling and we're done. Every now and then I detail strip it, but I have yet to see any rust hiding anywhere, so I'm not convinced that it's really necessary.
