Just finished a pair of leggins ties and a matching horn strap for a fellow club member.

The leggins ties are 3/4 inch. It worked out to be 31 threads on the loom and a pretty tight weave.
 
Real nice work. Are you doing a card weave? Looked that up on line one day, but not sure I made much sense of what they were saying. Looks like a loom would be easier.

No, it's not card weaving and yes, it was done on a loom. I have an Inkle loom and it's real easy to use. It took me about four straps to figure all the things I was doing wrong and now I'm quite happy with the straps I have made. Once you are comfortable with the weaving you should be able to weave a 60 inch strap in about three hours. Below is some pictures of the last strap I did on the loom.

Great work, this strap making fasinates me. It is really neat, Silver Fox. I do not know of anyone in SA that makes them.
