I am amazed, I got mine about 6 weeks ago, I could have already finished but I'm taking my time and I figure the barrel will brown easier after the 4th (I live in North Carolina)...I built a .54 back in the '80s...It has a 38 inch Rayle barrel, is a great shooter, have killed plenty of deer with it but...It weighs 10 pounds...The local guy that provided the "kit" didn't want to inlet a swamped barrel, so the barrel is 1 1/16 at the breach and tapers to 15/16...Steady as all get out but, when I put the WoodsRunner together to check the balance, I was amazed...This is my first flintlock with a swamped barrel, sliding wood patchbox and a single trigger....My other one is basically a Southern Mountain rifle with a 13/16 barrel, 42 inches long and .40 caliber...

Jason you’re old at 50? Damn now I feel real old at 61. What keeps me young is I’m shootings for my Grandma's age, she lived till 105 and a half!!! That makes you and me Babies! Nice rifle and thanks for the offer but I’m way down here in Florida dreaming of a Kibler SMR .45. One day for sure!

I’m sighting mine in again, using a smaller charge. Trying to conserve powder. 60grains for a .50 cal. Just used the last of my Swiss 2F. Switching to some Goex I’ve had for a while. So far, it’s doing pretty well at 50 yards.

TDM your gonna love it! I also have the .54. I shoot .520's with a Denim patch

Target shooting in a parking lot? No cops came? :thumb:

I have to get out of California! I am searching for a place. A good friend is moving to Lancaster County. I'll have to visit and check it out.
