Her situation? Well she is single .... and as you can see that woman capable of fetching some good guns .... soooo if any of you folks need a wife I can hook you up with her .... for a finders fee of course ;)
Hey, if she happens to have more of those revolvers I might be interested.

LOVE IT! Made me laugh out loud for sure. She clean fish?

Truly amazing that the key is still with the chest. I found a chest at a thrift store that had a secret compartment in the bottom. It had several dead bugs and an old mouse nest in it. The bugs appeared to be period correct, but the mouse nest was much later. It had some silver Christmas tree ice cycles as part of the nest material, which dated it to after WW2.
Awesome find there, kinda surprised they were not rusted up a little. Those stories keep me looking.

That is the find of a lifetime!! Both pistols are a treasure and look to be in fantastic condition.
It’s not uncommon to find hidden drawers or compartments inside trunks or chests. My grandfather was a master woodworker by trade. He built a large wooden chest for his tool which mostly date from the turn of the century into the 30s. My father passed and I have the chest complete with tools. In the chest there is a small drawer that’s hidden from view that locks. Unfortunately there were no guns inside… just some small things.
Thanks for sharing your find!!
Beautiful craftsmanship !!
Would be a centerpiece in my living room or den.

I still can't believe this is real. You sure those cap and ball revolvers aren't replicas? Pedersoli / Uberti made replicas of both the Starr double action and the Colt. Awesome either way.

Amazing, a great pair of pistols, and a cool chest, full of targets. Don't get no better than that.
Yeah you're a lucky one. Like what was said earlier about falling into manure and smelling like a rose.
My luck is so bad, I could fall into a barrel of boobies and come out sucking my thumb. :thumb:

I'm sure, was able to take 5 out of 6 nipples on Starr to replace, also fixed arm spring on Colt now it indexing properly

Imagine the story that the lot could tell. As it was found in GA I wonder if they were stashed away as people fled the advancing Union Army to avoid detection if stopped by troops??????

I was thinking the same thing. Former confederate soldiers were forbidden from owning side arms for immediately following the war so this could have been a secret stash?
