When it smells like fermented sweat socks and jock straps it is Ballistol derived IMHO Absolut Yucky.

Looks like Ballistol and water to me, I mix my own but it might be a good alternative for some. Let us know how it works.

If it looks like Ballistol and water and smells like Ballistol and water it most likely is! I haven't seen the product but if it's cheap enough I might get some otherwise I'll just mix my own. I believe it says 8 to 1 ratio for cleaning on the can.
Fermented socks and jock straps smell way better than this concoction. Smells more like a 50-year-old outhouse privy on a 100-degree August day with no wind. That's beyond nasty. I'm gonna stick with my castor oil/Murphy's/alcohol mixture.

The sku numbers are the same on both bottles.
MSDS should turn up in a search online.

My wife won't allow it in the house... smart gal. If I use it in the detached garage, which is very seldom, I have to scrub up outside.
There seems to be a lot of us, ya think and I consider myself in good company with Zonie, Rifleman1776 & others. Ballistol works for some things but not everything like they claim.

never could see any great benefit to Ballistol. plus as soon as i'd crack the lid my lungs started congesting. i used a couple bottles of it for drill/mill lube but the down side for me wasn't worth it. not saying it is bad, just bad for me.
