Anyone bought or know these place(s)? They've got a website and Facebook page, looks like 2 shops, one in North Little Rock and Berryville. Gut says they're legit but looking for validation.

Yes, I've known the head guy personally, his house in Berryville is half gunshop, and he attends the bi-annual shoot in Berryville as a vendor. He sells a lot of guns made by Loyalist arms IIRC. I have not attended the shoots for some years due to health problems so I have not seen him or the younger partner for some time. I can only presume they are still in business, but good people they were. Geo.

Never traded with them but know they have been in the ml business a long time. Have never heard a negative comment about them. The State Championships are at Berryville next week. I would have said hello to them but health is preventing my attending. 😢 Been going since 1976, this might be the end of the run. Hope not. Sorry for going off topic.

The guy at NLR apprenticed under the fellow from Berryville. Since NLR is much nearer to me than Berryville, I dropped a couple of rifles off to him when I got back into ML'ing in late 2021-early 2022.

The first rifle was an original that needed better fitting tenon pins. He drilled these HUMONGUS (WHY?!?!) holes, and ended up blowing a quarter sized chunk out of the forend. Instead of calling and telling me this, he SUPER GLUED it back into place, and never said a word about it. It didn't go down flush, it is raised all the way around the chunk. He wasn't going to say A THING if I hadn't noticed it upon picking it up. I saw it just moments before I was about to leave. Our transaction had already completed.

The other rifle was a traditions Shenandoah. I had a replacement barrel that came without tenons. The dovetails were already cut, it just needed tenons fit and drilled. When I got home and cooled off after the other rifle, I decided to disassemble the Shenandoah and check the work I could not see. Half of one barrel tenons was just completely missing! The piece that goes in the dovetail was broken in half. So instead of a T, it was an L. It was installed like that! Shoddy work, less than stellar ethics. For me, never again.

The guy in NLR…. Was he out of a shop behind his house in a neighborhood? I can’t imagine there are that many. I lived there until 2006. Went by a time or two. He unstuck a ball for me. Also sold me some elephant powder. He said it was the cleanest thing going. 😬. It wasn’t.
