I’m guessing there are millions of caps stashed away all across this country in peoples homes. Stashes that go unused for decades.
Twice now I’ve bought two different one thousand cartons of CCI 11’s and Remington F.C. from a fellow who buys up estates. $30 a thousand. Old stock probably the 80’s or older. Work fine.
Estates are a good way to find stuff; someone sets up at a small gun show and has some BP stuff? I've seen it more than once. Got two lbs. BP recently from a woman whose husband passed and left nice collection of BP guns, mostly unfired. Pedersoli, etc., but he obviously had coached her as to their worth, as a tag was on each one with a very reasonable price. They were largely unfired. That's rare, though!

I’m running low on 4 wing musket caps.
RWS was recommended for my sharps breech loader but I can’t find any. CCI work but but can’t find them locally either.

Hey BBGunn, beware if they want you to pay with other than normal forms. If the want Zelle Venmo etc you will probably get scammed! Lots of horror stories about it on here! Hope this helps!

Fairly good stock myself, also started like you with the first Bozo! Had a very close cousin that was SOOO proud he voted for the first Bozo. I asked him if he liked the fact he was able to hunt and shoot and also his 8 or so grandsons could do the same. He said I was crazy for thinking that way. Was not long after he called and said the squirrels were eating all his tomatoes and he could not find any .22s where can he get some. I told him to call the guy he voted for and ask him. It’s a shame but haven’t spoke to him since but I hear he has a lot of squirrels friends!!!

I remember reading a story in either Muzzleloader or Muzzleblasts about BP hunting in China. They used a smoothbore and used a coke bottle top to measure out their powder and shot. To prime they used BP in some plastic. the only problem was that they didn't explain how they managed how to keep the BP & plastic on the nipple!
