Hello,
I am offering for sale my own, faithful Kibler .54 Cherry stocked rifle. This was the third Kibler I built, DOB is August 2021. It features nice incised carving behind the cheek piece, lovely beaver-tail lock and side panels, and with raised moldings around the barrel tang and rear thimble. It also has an inlaid brass Hunter's Star, Toe Plate and a slap-shut Patch Box.
The barrel is 'aged" and lightly pitted, with a nice gray tone. The Cherry stock is finished with several applications of a wiping varnish over a stain-dye stock, and several applications of rubbed and buffed paste wax.
~Stock has a pull of about 13 5/8” and a drop of approximately 2 3/4” and cast off of approximately 3/16"
~43.25” custom profiled barrels. Breech 1.125” and waist approximately .800”. Square bottom rifling
~Buttplate is approximately 2” in width and slightly over 5” in height.
~Weight about 8.5 lbs on my br scale
~Overall length approx 60"
It's a remarkable rifle that shoots straight and true which has served me well and helped feed our family. But I can't keep. Too many rifles, it seems.
This rifle favors a .018 thick pillow ticking with .535 round ball and 75 grains Goex.
I am asking $1450 plus partial shipping ($50 east of the Mississippi, $75 West). Will be shipped in a wooden Kibler crate, fully insured.
Thanks for looking,
Bob
