What is better than just a man and his flintlock fowler? A man with his flintlock fowler and freshly taken turkey! Great job and nice bird. Any particulars on the bird?
Rio grande, spot and stalk. 20 yard shot. #2 shot 85 grns. 2f. About a medium sized bird for our area. Public land.

How bad were the ticks down there?
Not too bad. Yet, later in the year about September a person will have to carry an extra pint of blood for a transfusion.
