I have to sight in and then I’m done. A 54 calibre in fancy maple with a couple of added details. I used aquafortis then brown leather dye before lighty coating all the wood inside and out with tung oil. Tru-Oil finish very thinly for three layers. Besides the toe plate and patch box brass cap I added a brass tip to the ram rod and color cased the lock. A few incited lines with a scroll behind the cheek is all this wood needed. Barrel is browned then rubbed with cold blue. I’ll start shooting with 80 grains of two fg and spit on the pillow ticking since that works with most 54 calibre rifles.
