I had completely forgot about Estes buying out Goex, I wonder if and when they will ever get production up and running for the common man and I wonder if there new packaging will have there brand mark with the little swirly rocket circling around the bottle LOL… From what I’ve heard and I don’t know how true it is but there making powder for the military and they come first I guess…

What I consider my go to reliable dealer said his distibutor told him by june he will have goex. I told him lets have a launch party.

Well "WE" are not the number one customer..., so if Uncle Sam suddenly drops a huge re-order on them, with a rush delivery date, then they have to do what folks would do in the free market in other industries..., keep the top customer(s) happy, and thus we might see another delay. Just keep makin' the stuff and paying Americans wages in the process, and I'll be happy as eventually, we will get access to some...

If you need powder, buy what you can today. Or wait for Estes to get their version of Goex to dealer’s shelves, just don’t complain if you run out of powder before that occurs. You have to believe Estes has plenty of logistical issues to address between the end of the their new production line and dealer shelves, even if they are on time with new powder production. Pretty unlikely they will be using their model rocket engine distribution network to get blackpowder to gun shops and powder sellers.

Thank you....I've been saying that for over a year now.

Having worked for a large corporation for years, I understand the time it takes to get a product up and running. In this case, it takes getting the building up to code, get the machinery fixed or replaced, get employees trained, find the ingredients to mix, make sure the product lives up to the standard shooters expect, get the product packaged and distributed to vendors around the whole country.

Those waiting on all of that to happen in such short time frame from Estes is "wishful" thinking at best. Estes is concentrating on their core rocket business first. That's where the REAL money is to be made. The black powder shooters market is such small minuscue part of their core business. Were are not a high priority compared to the other mentioned.

I'm not waiting on Goex. I still have a few pounds left but quit using it when I discovered Swiss & Schuetzen. Both brands shoot as good or better than Goex, cleans much easier and is available right now.
