Hello. Up for consideration is a new unique bag made from hand stitched leather. The back and front flap as well as the pockets to hold the hawk are 7-8oz commercial tanned slightly stiff leather. The 3 & 1/2” gusset and the 2” fringe are cut from 6-7 oz elk and the rest, decorative edges and doubled layer strap are 3-4 oz garment leather.
A small hawk , 3 & 1/4” blade with a 14” handle ( 3J made head and Mother Nature made the hickory handle that I finished) rides nicely on the back of this bag .
Priced at $160 plus $10 towards shipping gets this shooting bag and tomahawk delivered anywhere in the con US . Outside the 48 contact me and we can probably work something out .
This bag is 10” wide overall outside front by 7&1/2” top to bottom
Closed and empty the bag is 1&1/4” front to back but is 3” front to back where the hawk is.
The main pouch measures 7&1/2” wide , 6” top to bottom and will expand to 3& 1/2” front to back . Inside is a small tool pocket and two small flint pockets ,, approximately
2 & 3/4” top to bottom by 2&3/4” wide and sewn to inside back . All hand stitched with artificial sinew.
1 & 3/4” wide Strap is made from two soft supple strips of 3-4 oz sewn together full length along the edges. Strap is adjustable from 50” to 57” by moving laces to various slots in strap ends . Currently 26” from midpoint of strap to top of bag ( pictured) Strap can also be arranged to have bleeding heart on the right .
Front flap is secured with leather thong over hand hammered coin button.
Red felt bear paw and red felt bleeding heart along with a few glass beads and a slot on back of strap to hold ball starter or powder measure, fringe and “extra leather lacing”
round out this offering. Antiqued to have the appearance of being to a few rendezvous or on a few trecks.
