Many products out there for greasing the ball. Sixty some years ago my first C&P pistol was a 36 cal Navy. I used butch wax over the ball as a barrel lube. I did a great job. No fouling and it stayed in place. I would recommend it to this day. 'BANG'

What is Butch Wax?

In the wee hours melt the wax of bees over a small fire, then drawing off the clear melt and stirring in the fresh oils of olives and of sheep, taking care to wipe up before the wife up, less her needs for sweet revolver balm should exceed your own.
