Howdy gals and gents, I'm Dan. Nice to meet yall. Alaska born and raised-moved to WA in 2018, but haven't shot black powder since Alaska. I miss it and I have a particular fancy for a curly maple rifle...full stock if I can. (I like the Jaeger style rifles alot)

I haven't fully gone through what dixiegunworks have on their list, but I've also come across muzzleloadersupplies and there are line items to build up your entire rifle from base components and all that. I'm not against building one-but I'd rather be shooting one before I do. I've got a preference for the percussion caps but maybe one day I'll fiddle faddle with the flint. I used to own a Lyman Deerstalker in .54 that I just loved to death. Shame that I sold it prior to moving.

Anyhow-I look forward to it-if anyone has some tips on where to pickup a curly maple, I'll be perusing dixiegunworks in the meantime.
