last night, I put a drop of penetrating oil on the snapped off jag part. This afternoon, came down and looked at it, took a #11 knife blade and tried to move the jag. To my surprise, it easily moved, and came right out.

45 years ago when I worked as a tool n cutter grinder I made a steel range rod threaded 10/32nds and all adapters I bought were converted to same if not already and adapters all had steel shanks due brass failures I encountered in that trade. I figured I didn't need to add any further aggressions to my peaceful time spent with rifles. I also agree with metal jaggs don't touch rifling since you use patches when you clean brass or nylon guard is I believe a must on the rod. Just MO
