This event is for rifled muskets and cannon only at this time. In the future it may include revolvers but right now the logistics for that just aren't there since everything is provided for the attendees.

My ancestors were in the 9th Va Cavalry, does anyone ever portray them? I know nothing about re-enacting at this point

Yes there is a 9th VA Cav and they are a damn fine shooting unit too

We aren't reenactors we are competitive shooters who dress up in uniforms to shoot in team competition at breakable targets.

Would dearly love to participate and have own equipment ('61 Springfield, '41 Mississippi, '63 Remington) but live on wrong end of the country.

I hope there is solid turnout. This needs to continue.
