This is a really nice .45 Virginia Style Flintlock Rifle stamped GOSS on top flat of barrel. There is a bladesmith and caster named Goss listed as an artisan on the Contemporary Longrifle Association website. That is all I could find. The 42" straight taper barrel has a pleasing heavy brown. Bright shiny bore. Fired very little. Possibly only test fired. Lock is finished bright and unmarked. The dark Curly Maple stock has gorgeous figure. Brass fitted without patchbox. Incised and relief carving. LOP is 14.5". Weighs about 9.5 lbs. $1500 + Shipping.
