Sounds like we are a dieing breed. Not good I’m just really getting into flintlocks and would like to get out and shoot with other people. Like the folk firearms collective I’ve seen on YouTube. That looks fun and now that I have more time on my hands to travel.
I'm going my darnedest to pass on this wonderful sport to my kids and grandkids. My wife, son, daughter and son-in-law all have smoke poles or are learning the "old ways"

64 this September. Started shooting at around 12-13... Was shooting on A Team in N-SSA competition at 14 and molding bullets for 2 other team members. I thought it was fun and the deal was I molded the Minni balls for all 3 of use to shoot about 50 for each of us every week and one of the other guys loaded my rounds for practice and matches with the other older gentlemen (about 20 years my senior teaching and watching everything that we did). In the summer it was a hot job and I believe they got over on me.HA HA Used a Coleman Camping stove and Ladle outside on a picnic table. I still have 2 of those old steel Moulds and use sometimes...Thinking back, I believe the older gentleman never loaded or molded. Hey but he also gave me all the cigarettes I could smoke..
