You still have to feed your ML , from what I see on this forum there seems to be a shortage of black powder , caps , flints and bullet moulds in the USA and also in the rest of the world . High prices and non availability could put off any one thinking about starting ML shooting .
Yep!

Not too many guys around here with "man buns"!
remember the Mongols had man buns also. wouldnt want to mess around with those boys. I am not saying todays guys with man buns are the same as the mongols but men today are nowhere the same as those in the civil war Roman legionnaires etc

well like a Pharoah maybe they want to be buried with their stuff for the afterlife lol
I had a friend that said not long before he died, asked me to install an air conditioner in his grave because he wasn't sure how hot it would be. Me, I would like to be buried with my Wilson Combat Protector Elite!

old guys act like the younger people came here on spaceships where the old guys raised them. then to make matters worse they spoil the heck out of the grandkids buying them expensive stuff to where these kids do not connect working for the money to buy things. kids have to be forced when young to work hard then around 15-16 it becomes a habit. I quit school at 15 and started carrying lumber

The few guys I've seen when I visited Memphis, are no Mongols, by any means! I may be wrong, but I don't think Mongols wore high heels, make up, and carried a murse, or in this case, purse is more proper!

Man buns? Really? AR 15's? You grumpy ld men can't stay on topic to save your lives. LOL!
I see alot of hurt feelings and jealousy over high prices too. I always wanted to make what the plumber makes per hour that unplugs your toilet, but you're not going to get that making custom rifles.

The man bun does not maketh the man...

I've also seen people who can turn $1000 in parts into a fine $400 rifle.
I have seen some bunch of buggered up caplocks at shows. People trying to remove the breech plug and butchering the barrel surfaces. Like trying to fit CVA .54 barrel onto a TC .50 stock that won't fit so the cobble up pieces and file and hammer away to get them to fit.

All custom rifles are not created the equal….

Just sayin..

I've also seen people who can turn $1000 in parts into a fine $400 rifle.

Amen!

It can't be going too poorly. I'm currently looking for a builder, and one I've contacted denied me the courtesy of even replying to say "no thank you".

I know it's a CVA (or maybe a T/C)) but what the heck is that abomination?
Apparently it was on the tv show Gun Stories that aired on 2/15/23..
Investarms Hawken I’m told…

I’m thinking more along the lines of a Hacker Hawken myself…

Somebody go ahead and say it….
Nice wood….🥴🤣

This is a hobby based on antiquity. It will ebb and flow. One Hollywood movie or video game could create a mania as it did for Dirty Harry's .44 or Colt Pythons. Working against all shooting sports is population growth and land restrictions. ML will hang on. Witness antique and classic aviation, thriving despite general aviation airport closures and insane fuel and airframe prices. Something will always change ML's popularity. Beware the black swan.
