This is a general gun question. FFL shipping to Colorado

Has anyone heard of issues FFL's may have shipping guns of various types into an FFL in Colorado. I'm trying to ship some from N. Alabama to Mid Colorado. One place contacted said they don't ship to Colorado due to weird rules in Colorado.

Yeah, Colorado is fast becoming "Californiaized", so I am not surprised. Don't waste time arguing with the shipper, just go to another one. If you have an FFL in Colorado that will accept the gun(s) for you, that's half the battle and they should be up on local laws as it is in their best interests.
BTW, isn't this the wrong forum for this question, Mr. Administrator sir?

I've not heard of anything about Colorado specifically but I have found that there are many companies, both firearms and ammunition manufacturers, as well as distributors and retailers, who will not ship anything to any state that has a bunch of restrictive gun laws.
Here on CT we have a 10 round magazine capacity limit and a list of "banned" guns,,, there are companies that will not ship products here even though those products are completely legal.
I have to go into my old shop later this week, I will look amd see if we had any transfers to Colorado since I left, and if so will inquire about any issues.

Colorado has some magazine capacity regulation on modern firearms.

May be easiest have receiving party in Colorado to ask their FFL to recommend a sending FFL. It wasn’t that long ago I know of a transfer to an FFL in Colorado from an NC FFL. Sounds like it’s an issue with a specific FFL.

The goal is to have all shippers stop shipping. No shipping means no firearms community.

It's a devilishly simple plan. Which is why the Left should NEVER be trusted. Not one inch of ground will be granted to them by me. 2A means 2A.

They can't constitutionally ban guns and ammo and parts, so they eliminate the availability of guns and ammo and parts.

Nothing about UPS in the U.S. Constitution. But one could argue that it's backdoor gun control. This shipping shinola should go to SCOTUS ASAP.

Theres no ffl rules in Colorado for muzzleloaders.

News to me. I'm a FFL and.have shipped muzzleloaders to people and suppository arms to FFLS non-issue.

FFL in Colorado isn't going to know an FFL in Alabama in your brother's area.
Tell your brother to find an FFL on his side in Colorado that will accept do a rifle transfer for him.
Get that ffl's information address and all that. Box your gun up don't put anything on it that it's a gun or whatnot.
Go to the UPS website plug all the information. the length the weight with height , print the label stick it on the box.

Take it to your local CVS store in the morning and the UPS guy will pick it up late afternoon.
Problem solved.
If possible I always recommend if the guy has a FFL with some kind of bizarre tactical arms name.
I make initials like TA for Tactical Arms and then put the ffl's real name as a contact on the shipping label.
I do this everyday.

Im from Northern Colorado and I dont know where or what you are trying to ship into but there isnt any BP restrictions in Colorado only magazine restrictions and most of the county sheriff's offices wont enforce that.

Guys, the issue here isn't that there is any ban or legal reason to not ship to Colorado. Just because one if you will, doesn't mean everyone will.
I can legally buy, own, and carry, any ammo I want here in Connecticut, I can legally buy and own and carry a 10 round magazine for a pistol,,,, but there are companies/business that have said "screw you," to any customers in any states with what they see as restrictive gun laws. I have had several companies/businesses refuse to ship any firearm related items to Connecticut even though those items are perfectly legal here.
Those companies often have a list of states they will not ship anything to. Colorado may very well be one of those states that some, not all, companies/businesses will not ship gun related stuff to.

15 rd capacity magazine restriction in CO which virtually no one recognizes or enforces, but it makes it tough to get them shipped here. Some vendors will put a dimple in surplus mag bodies to limit capacity, and some disassemble them. You can have 'repair parts' shipped here and assemble them yourself.

I've had dozens of guns shipped to CO without issue, other than UPS sending a rifle back to Illinois that made it all the way to the loading dock in Denver as 'unable to contact receiver' (which was an FFL), presumably by some anti working the dock.

I don't think you have to have an FFL Ship for you. It;s my understanding that anyone can ship it as long as it goes to an FFL.

Go on https://www.gunbroker.com/ and find the area where you can look up FFL holders by location and contact them to see what you need to do and what the restrictions are.
