I bought this new many years ago and its been in a blanket case most of its life.
54 cal.
Lyman Trade Rifle. Its got one mark on the stock opposite the lock. Otherwise its near perfect. bluing is 100%. No pitting anywhere. no rust.
I don't have a bore light or I would show you the bore is as clean as the outside.
Its only been fired a half dozen times, if that.
I'd appreciate opinions on how much to ask for it. I have been out of touch with muzzleloading for the last 10 years and have some catching up to do.
Thanks to all.

you have a good start on catching up on muzzloading right now. keep it. for what you can get for it, you will be adding money to get something else.
wag.. 600.00
hit that mark with some old english scratch cover and it would disappear. not counseling you to try selling it as flawless but just offering anyone a solution.

The mark does devalue it a bit. No box either I assume. In my opinion it is worth $350 to $400 plus shipping.

this was one I happened to pick up along the way. No recolection what the twist is. since I was 25 I've built 19 long guns. And I have one left that I built. a nice Hawken rifle. The rest are sold or given to family members. a few on commission for a trade.
I'm thinking I might like to have a 40 cal flinter of some design or another.
Looking around at parts prices I' going to have a way to go yet.
I do have a box of parts left i'll probably sell toward the project.

I have a friend that has one I was thinking about buying for him so I’m interested in what one is worth. His has been used so I know his will be less. He would probably like to know to.

The average sale price for completed listings on gun broker is $400 .

Low was $329 1 bid
High was $575 1 bid

The 2 guns with the most bids sold for $405
