When is your window for the hunt? I would go with the .62 since you already have one with the bow!
 
Use the smoke pole! It has a big enough bore to get the job done if you do your part. As you did it with a longbow, you are clearly steady as a rock and probably flinch-free.

Where in Wisconsin do you plan to hunt? Gonna hunt over a stand or with dogs?

I am in Northern Wisconsin and the season will start around the 15th of September. Dogs get to go first this year a week earlier than that. I most likely will just stand hunt but I do have connections to dogs. I might even make myself a 18th century hunting shirt and get in the spirit.
