They actually keep track of who bought a tin of caps 7 days ago?

I don't even remember if I bought caps 7 days ago
Yes, they check their invoicing system and can tell when you came in last and bought something. It also tells them what you purchased.

They can let you know EXACTLY how much you've spent since you started shopping there, as well. My total was scary but not surprising! Many of the guns I'd bought have been resold for at least what I paid for them.

I don't go there every week but my kids sometimes shoot the Club Match. They are so new to it that they wouldn't know what to buy so I provide the supplies. They pay the Shoot Fee and give me a little extra for Powder and Caps. Three of us together can burn through a tin in one day.

I wouldn't even want to know how much I've spent at my local gun shop.....

There are several different nipples that are a two piece nipple and accepts a large rifle primer. Dixie carries one called a primer nipple. Warren custom outdoor carries one that they call A Mag-Spark. There is another one called the Accu shot nipple.

At the show I was at this weekend, there was a seller there that had tins #10 and #11 percussion caps for $15 a tin. I thought his prices were too high but he is doing what all the other sellers are doing.

it was sarcasm lol making fun out of guys that seem to need 10 years supply so they can sleep at nite
Stupid humor for those who don't shoot like the ones that do . If I were you I'd be crying if I had your limits on shooting , not a lame attempt at funny . At least those that have will not be extending the fence with their useless
fence posts (muzzle loaders ) , like me their 530 gr bullets will be making the holes for yours! /Ed

I could care less if I wasnt able to shoot a 1000 times a month. you would be the one to have no reason to live if you couldnt. I am stupid cause I want to see guys that want to shoot have access to powder and caps and you are smart cause want to deny them. gun owners always their own worst enemy

Some how you make no sense at all.

Where's that guy who says he shoots "1000s of rounds per weekend " through his cap and ballers ? He kinda dissapeared, he must be busy shooting
ahahah yes I was thinking the same thing. do you see how onery some guys get when you just mention how much they hoard?

Did not say 1000 times a month ,maybe you got confused (like some others here) just like to shoot (ALOT) and live where I can ! And smart enough to know what I need to do so and planned for those needs and didn't waste money on stuff not important ! See it is important to me so it works for me ,it's the baby's crying about lack of stuff required to shoot . I know how to sacrifice to do what's important to me ,perhaps some here have new trucks/boats whatever I don't ,what I have is what I need to shoot when ever and how much I want so suck it up /Ed

OK I see where you are coming from

Wowser. When I made this thread, I didn't know it was going to turn into what my late, great, granny would call one of those real life "They Lord have mercy" type threads.

Every man must govern himself.....during the "Pandemic " I took a long hiatus from the shooting sports after having been very heavily involved in Handgun matches, mostly with DA revolvers requiring me to shoot 1-2000 rounds of .38 or .45 ACP through my moonclipped match revolvers to stay any kind of proficient on top of reloading with dummy rounds at home.

It became all-consuming, kind of like some people here, where most of my free time was dominated by finding ammo, obsessing over ammo, training and basically living at the Range. Then things got super expensive and I took a break. I just now looked at the box full of match rigs and gear I used to use , now sitting neglected in my basement but I'm glad I had those years where my skills with a moonclipped Ruger Redhawk were almost kinda noteworthy among maybe 20 people at Regional handgun matches 😃🤠

When I find myself even starting to get back into that mindset , where I'm getting too into finding components......I take a step back and find something else to do for a little while. It's ok to continue to support the 2A but also take a month or two to focus on something else. Coming back to it fresh after a break increases my enjoyment of shooting these old guns even more.

do you have his ebay name?
