Looking to buy 777 powder. How many rounds will it make for 25 grain loads in .44 caliber?

7,000 grains ro a pound divided by your charge of 25 grains. 35 grain charge, 200 rounds. 70 grain charge, 100 rounds. Have fun!!!!!

Depends if you are measuring the 25 grains of T7 by weight or volume? Forget the exact number, but about 19.25 grains of T7 by weight (and volume) is equivalent to approximately 25 grains of blackpowder by weight (and volume). Pay attention to where you get your load data and how you use it. Assuming you are measuring by volume equivalent (to blackpowder), you should get somewhere around 364 25 grain loads from a pound of T7.

Thanks! Just what I was looking for. I am familiar with smokeless weights and just now getting into BP.

Black Gunpowder and the subs should be measured by volume not weight. The subs are lighter and going by weight might result in rapid wear or damage to the gun or shooter. I use a 20 grain VOLUME of FFFg Black Gunpowder in my Colt .44 with a ball which makes a very comfortable plinking load.
If I want power I go to an unmentionable in .44 magnum caliber made by Daniel and Horace using those brass thingys. we don't talk about
The transition form nitro powders to real Black Gunpowder is a whole new world.
Play safe
Bunk

What someone above is pointing out is that the powder is sold by weight, ie: 1 pound. To know how many shots, you have to have the actual weight of the 25 grain volumetric charge you’re asking about. 25 gr 777 3F on my scale is around 19.5 grains. That’s weight, so you’d divide into 7000 grains per pound weight. About 358 shots. There is always a little bit of waste for a variety of reasons so I tend to round down as a best guess, so let’s say 355 shots.

After shooting 777 primarily in my c b revolvers over the last few years I shot 3f goex in my 58 remington the other day it really works best . Faster ignition. The 777 is hot and should de reduced a little. Max loads in a colt or remington are way to hot in my opinion. I however enjoy the fact it's always available and definitely cleans up way easier. I guess I just forgot that real black is just better and more fun. I

777 fouls way less , and you'll be less dependent on lube unless you shoot a lot in one session

I put 30 round balls through my 1862 .36 Pocket Navy with 777 3f, no lube over the chambers or wads. And the gun ran fine . The bore came clean with one baby wipe on my jag
