Hello from the Cradle of Liberty. I'm just getting into muzzle loading in prep for the 250th anniversary of the Shot Heard 'Round the World in nearby Concord Mass. Got my Brown Bess (Pedersoli) last summer and have been learning to work and fire it. I've found muzzleloaders to be a hugely generous bunch, I get lots of feedback from videos I post of my target practice. Will be adding a Kibler kit Colonial long rifle soon. Thanks for the great forums.

Welcome from the Boston area myself!

I shoot at the Reading Rifle & Revolver Club in Reading and at the Danvers Fish & Game Club over in Middleton. DF&G has a dedicated Frontier area with log cabin, lean-to, fire pit, and woodswalk course. We have an open Winter shoot you could attend on the weekend of the 28th/29th January. Camping allowed, with firewood and water available.

You just told me something I didn't know, thanks.
