I looked at my targets again and looks like a 64 to me?Nice shooting! Looks like a score of 53 to me(or maybe 58 - hard to tell from the picture)

Ernbar - 1/2 of the ball must be in the higher scoring ring to count - so technically the left target is either a 26 or 27 because the two sots on the bottom are not 1/2 way into the pie crust - the thin line around the pie is not a scoring ring - hard to tell because it looks like the target is folded up between the 9 & 10 ring. Also, even if it was a 37 score, 37 + 27 = 64
So if you confirm the left target is half way into the 10 ring, your score will be 54

My SMR Kit shipped today, Now I have to make a decision! Do I hope I can build it in 15 days and get it sighted to make the january match? or do I go out this weekend and shoot the trusty pedersoli for good measure? Decisions Decisions......

JakeGA and I went out today and shot some apple pies. First pie I was having a problem with fouling with my .32 SMR percussion rifle - very hard to load after 3 shots. Pulled 3 shots low and scored 32. Second pie I borrowed some Durofelt wads from JakeGA and grouped all 5 shots in the black for a score of 45 and was easily able to load 5 shots without swabbing between shots. I’m not posting this target yet because I want to experiment a bit more and see if I can improve
Gary, Try 1 Ballistol : 6 or 7 parts water for a patch lube, leaving your patches wet (but not dripping), Alternatively, cook up some of Stumpy's Moose Snot, using olive or peanut oil if you can't get castor oil as per Stumpy's recipe. Either one should relieve the fouling/hard loading problem. (Don't ask....!)
Thanks Maven - I’ve been using a 20% Ballistol to water as patch lube in my .40 with Swiss, Goex or Schuetzen for many years with good results. In the .32 using Schuetzen this doesn’t seem to work as well. I’m going to experiment using Swiss or Goex in the .32 with and without Durofelt wads soaked in olive oil and see what happens. I’ll post results when I finish
If this simple fix doesn’t work I will look at trying Stumpy’s!

I've been using Mr Flintlock for 2 years now and its a big improvement over the crisco, bore butter, or pre lubed patches I used to use. I believe it is a mixture of cutting oil and murphy's oil soap, it keeps loading nice 'n easy for as many shots as I care to shoot without swabbing in between. when using the pre lubed patches / bore butter / and or crisco I had to swab every 2 or 3 shots with a wet patch or I would end up with stuck balls.

We live in Northeast MN., north of Duluth. Probably about 3 hrs north of Maplewood. Thanks for putting on the shoot.
Only got up to Duluth a couple of times - used to ice fish on Mille lacs every winter. Stay warm up there!
Good point Snydly! I try to put a good piece of cardboard up behind my targets for this reason. Also better to push torn pieces back together before taking a picture to make it easier to score and ensure the shot is half the ball diameter inside the scoring ring.
