I built a compressed air, PVC arrow launcher that shot a 3/4" diameter 3500 grain arrow through 4" of dried pine and one side of the 6" cinder block behind it. That was done using only 85 psi of air pressure. The PVC piping was rated for 600 psi. Didn't get a MV because the long barrel whipped under recoil and the arrow took out my chronograph first.

I don't want to turn this into a political thread, but... don't underestimate your enemy. The reason shooting sports are under siege is they have been smart enough to take over education, entertainment, and currently government. Not dumb at all....

Looks like an 1858 brass frame. You can also buy conversion cylinders by mail and shoot low power/cowboy action ammo in them. less than 800fps. They are actually pretty accurate.
