Howdy,
Reading up on some well represented historical info I been reading here. Needed the details and explanations, cause I thought I knew a thing or two about stuff and now know that I didn't actually know stuff at all!

I have run out of BP, only have 777 and 'Dex to stuff down the pipe with my .50 ball, so been loading 'dex mild with a ball into old .45 carts, both 45LC and 45-70. Smokes a little and is fun enough to keep fiddling around with it.

Anyway... back to it

Welcome from Maine. You can't talk about cartridge guns, only traditional muzzleloaders.
