Has anyone ever thought about travelling to Northern Italy to Pietta, Uberti, and Pedersoli? I am increasing getting interested in flying over and see the companies that make replications. Would they ever sell directly to me? Or let me buy and they ship to my home? Just thinking out loud.

I’m sure those companies would let you know the answers, if you contact them

Military folks used to be able to buy firearms and bring them back but I bet it’s not a simple or inexpensive matter to import a gun anymore.

I'm betting that unless your name is linked via business to a company that retails their products, you won't be able to walk in the door for a peek around any firearms factory in Europe as an individual. You might be able to do in in the USA, with the likes of Shiloh Arms or even Christian Sharps, but that's because they are semi-custom rifle builders. not commercially large ventures like those you have mentioned. Again, unless you are talking about bespoke companies, like Chapuis and their ilk, who have your deposit lodged firmly in their trading bank, you've probably had it.

Good luck, and let us know how it pans out for you.

I don't know about the companies mentioned in the OP, but I have friends who have been in Italy and were able to visit Beretta and Caeser Guerini - I don't believe they wer able to tour the entire factories. Best to call US offices first and inquire.

Those manufacturers weren't high on the list of things to see when I was there.
Rome, Venice, and Piza were my first choices. Then Naples with Vesuvius overlooking it.
I've been to those places with the wife. Both of us got into BP after trip and during covid. She's also interested in taking a trip to Northern Italy to see Milan and the Alps. These companies are east of Milan,, a good side trip.

Neither of which are making BP replicas - but your advice is sound.
