Guys I know we all have our favorite penetrating oil, some of us are following brands handed down by our fathers. There has been several folks perform pretty thorough testing and I tend to go with proven tests to pick a brand. Look up Project Farm and his testing on youtube and see what you think. I now favor Liquid Wrench after seeing the proof. It's also inexpensive.

Have a few old doubles, and one single, smoothies with "stuck nipple syndrome", SNS.

All y'all have given me some really good suggestions for removal - thank you. Anxious to shoot the two 10-bores!

Making a new walnut stock for an 1850's 10-bore double. The English walnut insists on "sharper than sharp" tools. But slowly, slowly taking shape. Old stock was broken at the wrist.

I haven't looked in a few years, but Wal-Mart used to have it. Newer stuff has a wicked bitter additive to try and keep idiots from huffing it.

is huffing, like sniffing & puffing? if so that is tantamount to suicide! just give then a fentanl pill. just DARWINS THEORY taking care of them.

Try any place that sells Computer related stuff.
Fry's I think is Out of Business now.
Radio Shack also gone.

Best Buy usually Carrying it.
CVS, Walmart, Cosco worth checking...

Forgot 'office supply' places too often carry canned air.

Yep, it will get all over you.

Make sure the gun is un-loader, place a round tooth pick in the nipple hole ,pour a good splash of kerosene down the barrel let sit a day or two and get a open end wrench the size of the base on the nipple,place the wrench on the nipple and tap on the shaft of the wrench with a hammer use light taps.

I always remove the nipple before cleaning. Then I let it sit in some TC Bore Cleaner while I clean the rest of the gun. I then scrub it with a small wire brush and run a micro swab in, out and through the hole (make sure you cover the drain opening in the sink in case it slips out of your hand), then rinse it with warm water. I'll use some canned air along with the tube they sell it with and blow into the nipple till it's dry. Add some gun grease to the threads only, and screw it back in but only hand tight. Next time you shoot just remember to tighten it with a nipple wrench. No more stuck nipples.

That’s my thought but that means the revolver cylinder. I don’t want to destroy its heat treat!

Got original nipples out of an 1839 enfield and an 1863 remington “Zouave”. Soaked in ed`s red for a week or a month, dried them off, heated with a propane torch, applied vice grips and they came out far too easily. both nipples were stripped/eroded of any wrench grabbing surface. The 1839`s nipple threads were still shiny and new looking, and the remington`s were fairly rusty looking but that cleaned up with a wire brush
