Thanks, I was planning to swap it out on my Hawken as needed, but while researching the barrel specs, I decided I would like to try out the Penn Hunter stock for fit. Lost the right eye and I'm a right hand shooter. Trying out my rifles shooting left I find I can't even see the front sight on my 42" custom flintlock anymore. Have to go to a shorter barrel. I want to set one up primitive enough so I can make smoke with the other fellers if I make it to another rendezvous. Getting old sucks.

Mark, It,s a 2019 stock Lyman Deer Stalker Stock. I built the barrel onto an old cabelas Hawken. Lock mortice is 51/8 X 1 inch. LOP 14 3/4 from butt cushion to trigger.15/16 barrel channel has wedge plates, trigger and trigger guard, and nose cap and tang. Mind you the hardware is what came on it so its not brass. also have the under rib for it. here,s some photos. Pm me if interested.Sm

A White Mountain Carbine stock would also work for you. The only real difference in the two is one has a steel buttplate while the other has a thin recoil pad.
