It was a frosty 24° this morning. As dry as it is in Central Texas the duck hunting isn’t great. It took all morning to get these.

Its officially really nasty out there this afternoon. Single digit f and strong gusty winds...

I met up with one of my sons at Camp Moore just outside Tangipohoa, Louisiana. Camp Moore was the Confederate training camp for the western campaign. It’s privately held now, they have a great museum and this was the annual reenactment weekend. It was very nice and very loud with 7 canon total.

Also in the museum amongst all the Civil War artifacts was a beautiful Kentucky SMR. But this was the fanciest SMR I’ve ever seen. Silver inlay everywhere and silver hand guard. Being under glass I only snapped a few photos. There wasn’t a lot of info on it but it is an original that was locally owned.

Just for the record, the guy blowing leaves across the lake from me the other day wasn’t trying to harass me. He was legitimately working around his place. Now, I’m sure his neighbors hated his guts, but other than having to hear it he wasn’t bothering me.

Ain't that the worst. PETA Trash and Antis use this tactic a lot.

They'll fire those noisy things up before dawn and near sunset. Another tactic is banging on trash can lids. Driving up and down roads honking horns. Walking through public land making a racket.

PETA Trash and Antis are the lowest form of scum on the planet.
Sometimes people not accustomed to unfamiliar environments have accidents in them.

Braved the cold to do some shooting with my daughter and my new '51 Navy snub nose. It was surprisingly accurate and she had the most fun shooting to date. She was having problems aiming while anticipating the boom so we trained with just caps for a few cylinders and she was good to go after that. That smile on her face tells you she's hooked!

That’s great!! She looks like she had a good time!

Haven't shot competitively since 1978. Got the itch back so last month decided to join a local ML club. Shot this target just for fun to get the cob webs out.
Shooting a 32 cal r.e.davis smr off hand 25 yards. Even tho this is a pistol target I'm happy with the group. 10 shots.
