I've always thought that a drone could save me a lot of hard slog when hunting. I'm in my seventies, slogging is always hard.

I have a dji mini SE it's pretty simple to fly GPS tracks the drone and if your battery gets to low it just returns back to you. I have gone 1 mile out and got scared and flew it back but I could have gone farther the connection was still strong.

I would closely check regulations. It's possible its use could fall under herding.

In AZ it is illegal to spot game for hunting with aircraft, which includes drones.

8. A violation of section 17-309, subsection A, paragraph 1 involving any unlawful use of aircraft to take, assist in taking, harass, chase, drive, locate or assist in locating wildlife.

Yeah I am not using it during any hunting just looking for potential hunting spots saves me from hiking. Plus getting cool pictures.

Yes, very cool pictures. I was responding to the poster talking about using a drone for hunting. Doesn’t look like you live in AZ either.

The animals have a hard enough time with out wannabes using aircraft, drones etc. People are just plain "lazy" anymore and have excuse after excuse for it, and do not want to do the hard work that 'traditional" hunting requires. IMHO

Drones are also very useful for spotting TRESPASSERS and getting Licsense Plate #..... Those are usually to guys that give the rest of us a BAD name. YOU got permission so you Must have been the one that PULLED the stunt..Be SAFE >>>>>>>Wally

From The Woodlands to the Gulf of Mexico, it's a long, slow slope to the water, looking essentially flat.
But, we have tall bridges and highway overpasses for nice views! And lots of parking garages!
The former Transco Tower had a photo book (Presence: The Transco Tower) about how its 80-some stories could be seen from counties away, the land is so flat. Lots of former rice farms west of Houston - now it's all houses.
