Got this for Christmas about ten years ago. Really should shoot it:

It is. I’m a big fan of this frame. It fits my hand better and as a side benefit I think it balances the big frame and cylinder of the ROA too.
A very nice SS ROA somehow magically materialized in my shop over the weekend. After seeing your pic I'm tempted to start looking for a lonely SS Super frame laying around loose somewhere.

Bad Karma
I know this is not the place but I have to show you my latest find. Made between 1909 and 1912 making it at least 110 years old. H&R 2cnd variation large frame .38 S&W five shot. It was missing grips, I got repros for $25, and missing one coil spring for SA sear, I had in parts bin. Listed as non functional. Purchased on auction for $31.00, shipping and handling cost more than pistol. Repaired and shoots just fine. The holster cost more than revolver. A companion for my 1851 Pietta with Defender .38 S&W conversion kit.

I like them my brother. You are an 1860's fan for sure. I on the other hand lean more toward 1851's and 1858's. The last photo is for you and all my brothers.

I like those brassers with character, I have all kinds of guns both "unmentionable " and bp but I can't stop playing around with brasser Colts

I have just remembered a story about the original owner of the London Navy, a Major Storer. He was notorious for having a short fuse and was particularly hard on "trespassers". One day, he came across a group of ladies enjoying a picnic on his land next to the river. Refusing to listen, he swept up everything in the tablecloth and hurled it into the water. One of the ladies spoke up "Please thank Mrs Storer for inviting us to come here and for lending us all the things you have thrown into the river!"

Not too well at 100 yet, needs the cylinder timed better. Manages about 6 in 5 inches at 50 now, hope to improve alignment someday. Fun though, you can feel heat on your forehead, when you're down on that stock, close to all that BLOOEY.
I can't wait to fire my 51 Navy with the skeleton stock
