That was a fun video. I see no practical reason for buck & ball loads except for simple fun shooting.
Never lose the grip on learning something. What may have been practical then and not practical now, may useful someday to someone under certain circumstances. There may come a time in the future that these skills are needed if/when something happens to the modern technology we have now fails us....or isn't there for us to use.

I also agree with BPMS, I'd rather have B&B in close quarters exchanges in a ACW battle scenario.
