Greetings from Poland

Hello gentlemen!
I have been reading your forum for many years, but I should finally say hello.
Greetings from the center of Poland, from the city of Łódź (don't even try to pronounce it )

I have some replicas: Pietty: Remington 1858 and Colt 1860, both in .45 ". Thompson C / A Patriot (absolutely love it) also .45", Sharps by Antonio Zoli from the 70's .54 ", Rolling Block by Pedersoli (bizarre version of the frontloader, separate loading - in Poland there are restrictive regulations on combined ammunition and such weapons), and recently I bought a Gallager from Erma Werke, also from the 70s.

Thanks for a lot of information on the forum. It helped a lot a few times!

Dzień dobry, we hope to see a lot of posts from you in the future about blackpowder shooting in Poland. I spent a couple of months in Warsaw 4 years ago but unfortunately haven't been able to get back. My wife, who shoots an 1863 Springfield in the N-SSA, will be headed to Warsaw for a month in mid October but I have to stay behind to take care of the dogs. I have enjoyed my visits but alas, we haven't met any blackpowder shooters there (yet).

Welcome to the forum from Pennsylvania USA. My great grandparents came here from Warsaw in the late 1800’s. Their son, my grandfather, fought in world war 1. He was born in 1875. His friends in the war used to call him the old man. He passed away in 1967. I would love to see some info on Poland from the 1700’s or early 1800’s if you have any. Would you have any info on the clothing worn in that time period?

Howdy and Welcome from Texas! I'm about 28 miles south of Panna Maria, Texas. The Oldest Polish settlement in United States. The first Polish settlers came over in 1852. My great great great grandfather, Stanislaus Palica (Palitza), was one of the settlers that came over in 1855.
