I got a TC Renegade Hunter .54 a week or so ago because it is the only one like it I have seen. S/n is 382xxx, but I cant find a way to date that. It has a deluxe quality figured walnut stock with 22lpi machine cut checkering on the grip and fore end. Fit and finish is top quality for factory work, if that is what it is.. See what you think. It has what appears to be a spray on matte poly finish, which is also nicely done, but also leads me to believe this is factory work and not pure custom. Anybody ever see or hear of anything like it? I cannot find a single reference to a gun like this online. I wonder if the TC custom shop, Fox Ridge, was ever known to do stuff like this. Barrel markings are unremarkable, i.e. standard late model Renegade roll stamp and serial number in typical location. Except for a few safe blemishes in the wood finish, it appears new and unfired. Thanks for your help.

Beautiful gun. I've seen factory TC's with wood about that nice. Have reservations about the checkering being factory done. If it is it's definitely from the custom shop. But most of the fancy stuff from the custom shop was presentation stuff & would usually have special markings and/or serial numbers.

Is that the one that was on GB? I saw it on there. Nice looking rifle

Yeah, I must'a drooled over that thing 1000 times while wishin' I'd been born rich instead'a so damn good lookin'.
