Bucket list eh....

Well been to Dixie Gun Works, maybe the coolest place Ive ever been.
Got there late Saturday afternoon and waited until Monday so we could send the entire day there.

Do check out the Dixie Bowie, they are way better than the price. Ive sold many of them.

Bucket list, kissed by Daisy Duke, Been there done that.

Im ready for heaven.

I've been drooling over the double rifles. Specifically this one: FR3020 Double Flint Rifle

I am also 66, retired, sort of and have never visited DGW. The plan is to visit in spring of this year... depending upon what the oral surgeon and the oncologist have to say on the subject.
Hope you get to make the trip to DGW. You and your Wife will both enjoy it.

Dixie is a national treasure.
We went there twice, once in the 90s and once in 2005.
I talk to folks from TN and amazed how many dont know about the place.
Ive sent oddles of folks there.
Their Dixie Bowie, which is a copy of Bowie's first design called the Searles Bowie.
The still are the best anywhere, several knives makers have told me so.

Am retiring on 01 August(that way the health insurance stays for the entire month) after too many years and there are some things I want to do.
A Big One is finally getting to go by Dixie Gun Works in Union City, TN. Been trying to get there since I was 16 and am 66 now. Yeah, like a kid going to finally go see Santa.

Here is my prioritized shopping list:
  1. Pedersoli Indian Trade Musket
  2. Parker Hale Volunteer Rifle
  3. 1851 Yank Snubnose

What else that is 'IN STOCK' there should I consider?
The Searles Bowie knife and sheath...
