I don't have much use for politicians, everyone I thought was trustworthy turned out to be rotten to core. Some of what they do is good but there is always a bit of hanky panky going on behind doors.

I can live with earthquakes, we felt one 2 or 3 months ago, we had a fair sized one, 7.0 in '86 that caused a lot of damage in other places but only knocked over potted plants in the house. There aren't any Bigfoot in CA that I ever saw signs of and I hunted and camped in areas where folks claimed to see 'em . We have plenty of game in CA but the fish and game regulations have put an end to subsistence hunting. Now we have to have a license. We have lotteries for certain game and there is protected game, and the need to have a hunting license to hunt invasive, destructive species like wild pigs. Too many regulations.

I respect people's reports if they believe they've seen something, but the early settlers, the very earliest motor vehicles into forested areas, there's never been an actual, physical, study-able specimen of a Bigfoot or similar creature. Many times people report thing being thrown, noises, groans, etc., even the early Natives would have killed one, and early settlers surely would have. With trail cams, airplanes, a shrinking forest cover, never even one being accidently hit with a truck or car early on, loggers, etc. And how many are there? How are they reproducing? Why do we not have one cadaver preserved, only 'animal hair' and those hilarious fake "movies" that guys make? It's a campfire story for sure until we see an actual real specimen in the scientific journals, National Geographic, the journal Nature, the Smithsonian, etc. But we all need something to believe in, it's human nature. I have relatives in CA, it's a paradise that's been ruined by just too many people and population! I feel for the animals in the fire areas as well as the humans. Best of luck!

Years ago, at dusk, in the parking lot of a park near Cape Canaveral, I saw a short, bipedal something-or-other standing at a garbage can, apparently looking for food. I couldn't say for sure, but it was probably a raccoon. But, for the first few minutes, my heart was racing, wondering what I was seeing!
If only I had a blurry video of it!!!

Yea, I forgot to mention the rather nippy winters. But even winter has it’s beauty. It’s not so much the cold it’s the WIND!! The wind will cut right through you.
