I have personally seen a drum shoot loose scared the shooter and everyone on the line .When the BANG went right not forward luckily he was last in line right it bent the hammer we never found the drum. The shooter stripped the drum threads on his CVA fiddling with it and had a mechanic friend install a thread repair insert and rethread the drum to fit the insert .Needless to say the RSO banned him for a month and nobody stands on hi right now 12 years later The rifle was cut apart after the incident by the owner
The drum is lined up perfect now. I really don’t know how to tell if the drum is secured good enough. It was pretty tough to turn but not enough to make me think it’s cross threaded.

Not that it is any of my buisness but I wouldn't shoot that for all the tea in china. If you do decide to shoot it have someone behind cover incase something goes wrong. Good luck I hope I'm wrong

If you actually plan to shoot that thing I'm tempted to ask if I can buy you a life-insurance policy with myself as beneficiary.

While I understand the desire to shoot it, the unknown condition inside, as well as the drum issue would probably have me very very cautious. If you must shoot it, tie it down to a bench with a small powder charge in the barrel, tie a string to the trigger, and hide behind something when you tug the string. If it stays intact, call it a success and put it on the wall as a display piece.

So many safely shootable guns out there, risking damage to an original or injury to a person doesn't make sense.
