I bought these two ladles at the flea market this past weekend. They were stacked and sold together, although I don’t know if they really go together. This in spite of them being similarly made and both stamped Taiwan on the back of their handles. Anyway, does anyone have any idea what the deal is with the one with the holes? Probably the same use as a modern slotted spoon. Picking solid bits out of boiling water. Nice and old timey looking. I would have bought them too.

Skimmer ladle, cast iorn decorator pieces, but saying that clean them very well if possible to bare metal and they will work fine.
Use the top one for casting round balls.
