Changing 12 ga barrels?

I have a Pedersoli percussion 12 ga Coach gun with double triggers.

I was wondering if it’s possible to get a longer barrel that can be swapped out for the 20” double that comes with it.
I thought I saw hickock45 do this with a 20 ga Howdah .

I suspect a newer Pedersoli set would drop right in. The problem may be finding a set and cost.

Hickock45 has a video on YouTube called “mail order sawed off shotgun” where he does it with a Ped howdah & a 20 ga shotgun . I called one dealer but I’m still thinking it’s doable. I’ll check with a gunsmith that works with these things. I imagined someone here has done it.

Pedersoli has at least 3 different 12 gauge barrels in SxS configuration. The difference is in the overall OD, the taper and the ID. These were generational. Find a similar year of production and barrels will likely fit a different stock/action. I saw a really nice stock that may have been refinished. However, I like the choke tubes from my other 12. I switched the barrels and sold the plain barrels on plain stock to offset my cost. One serial # was 7000 something and the other 9000 something. Barrels swapped right out.

I did pretty much the reverse of what Spark it off did, going from the screw choke barrels to fixed. I bought the extra barrel set from flintlocksetc.com (Richard Beauchamp) who had an impressive stock of pedersoli parts. I might have done better to simply buy another complete gun, and sell the Cabela's version compete as the barrels were around 2/3s the cost of a complete gun. I had to file the receiver for the fore end wedge on the barrel slightly to bring the barrels home on the fore end, and this allowed me to get a very snug fit.

Spark's comment about the different barrel profiles of different Pedersoli vintages is important. The older Pedersolis are delightful, light, upland guns.
