I purchased a LEFT Hand GPS and I want to set up for hunting. i have Eye sight issues so must use a peep to see front sight. What type peep and front sight would you use?

I shoot left handed and have both LH and RH rifles that I put Lyman peeps on. The housing mounts to the left side of the tang and I consider it better for shooting lefty.

So you have plenty of room to reach over housing mounts to cock hammer? That was my concern that hammer would hit housing mount or be a difficult step to cock hammer. Thanks for your reply. Tom

Sight mounts on tang so no problem with hammer clearance. Cocking a LH rifle is (almost) unchanged for a lefty, cocking a RH hammer with peeps needs a bit more reach but I've never found it a big problem. Nothing is perfect so little alterations in what we do help us adjust to real life. The peep sights have helped my old eyes the most.
You also asked about the front sight. On my GPH I filed the top of the front sight to get bright flat metal, then I epoxied a 1.5mm fiber optic on top of it. My choice was green but I got a variety 5 pack of colors on eBay that let me see how each would look. They are only about 1.5" long and are easily cut to length. I think I paid about $6 and was well worth it. I find that 1.5mm dia. works very well for me. My last groups at 100 yds were less than 2".

If you’re a guy who doesn’t really play around with loads, bullets, ball and patch combinations you might look at Skinner peeps. They’re very simple with relatively few adjustments but once set you just forget they’re there. I have a couple and there’s a lot of bang for that buck.

The little low pro sits on the tang of a New Englander .58 and I haven’t tried the Renegade version but I would drill and tap the barrel to get it closer to the eye.

Yep, Skinner. I got them on my H$&R Buffalo Classic 45/70. They make one to fit into the dovetail of barrels with that kind of open sight, like you have. I have one on a Henry. Would make no difference right or left hand. The downside is that it is not on the tang so you don't get that long sighting radius. But they can be clearly seen. To make it even clearer, I put a fire sight on the front.

If you can find one, the TC peeps should work well for you.

Not sure I understand your question. Peeps are mounted in line with the bore. There are no left or right hand sights. (and PLEASE don't tell me about current fancy optics for some of the modern no-no rifles much in the news)
