Ordered a Kibler Woodsrunner today. It will get here when it gets here. I'm not all pumped up to see it but am sure the day it arrives it will be a happy day. I paid for the kit and lock so I guess I'm committed.

I had originally planned to order a .54 but after thinking about it decided to get a .45. It will work on deer if I ever decide to hunt with it. I'll mostly be shooting paper and othere inan inanimate targets. A .45 will save me lead and powder.

I ordered a cherry stock, and put a note on the order asking for a naturaly dark piece with some figure in the butt. If it's light colored I'll maybe hang it out where strong sunlight can hit it and darken it naturally. If that doesn't work I'll hit it with potassium dichromate.

Sunlight will LIGHTEN it.

I have recently developed a deep appreciation for the .45 calibre. The .45 is such an efficient projectile, and my firearms are very well balanced and easy to carry into the field, on a woods walk, or around the rendezvous. You will love this gun…can’t wait to order mine.

Cherry is awesome over time it gets that deep color with oxidization.
45 is under estimated. I killed 5 with a .440 ball last year with mine here in PA.
I love the 45. However I am starting a 58 right now for a hunting rifle.
I wanted something to handle bear better.

I'm not interested in a kibler kit but if I ever did, it would be that woods runner.
Have fun
