Hi I have an original 1853 enfield for sale. It's in great shape. The only problem is it has been duffle cut. The cut cannot be seen until the middle ban has been taken off. It would function fine as is or a simple fix. Would like to trade for ww2 era firearms.

Could you please explain what a "duffle cut" is? I'm unfamiliar with that term. Thanks.

The stock is cut down to fit into a GI duffle bag. Fixed up a 1917 not that long ago, but the short piece of the fore stock was missing. The ones cut or broken through the wrist are bit tougher to repair.

Are we sure this isn't a Khyber Pass Bazaar gun that was cut so a service member could stick it in a duffel bag?
