The rifle is in overall very good condition. It has some modifications. First, the finger curl and rear loop of trigger guard have been removed. Second, the bluing has been evenly removed from about 4" of barrel at breech. Not sure why. Maybe in preparation for some embellishment? The 28" barrel has a mirror bore and 1:48 twist. Stocks very good with minor handling marks. $265 Shipped.

For starting out, another "deal" someone better jump on. ;)
The bluing being gone around the nipple area? Probably done with steel wool to clean up the "spatter" from caps being fired. One of the draw back of shooting BP. Good luck with the sale.:D
