Picking up a new Pedersoli Springfield 1861 next week and no minie balls, will they ever stock these again? Doses anyone feel like selling one? 🙏

Two on eBay right now although it isn’t clear if they’re the Old Style or not. Good luck!

I've been looking for an old style all year long can't find one anywhere new or used. One on ebay is a 577611 a heavy minie with a thick skirt made for heavy hunting loads. the other one is one I've never seen before but is not an old style. Is Lyman even still making molds anymore? New styles show up on ebay now and then. They have a thin skirt designed for a light powder charge.

You're going to be wasting your money if you don't know your exact bore size. Don't trust what is stamped on the barrel, you have to measure.

Moose is making molds and they're darn good quality. I cast 300 minies last week with one of his molds.

He may be making moulds, but he is unreachable by phone or email to order, found Brooks Moulds and they make exactly what I was looking for.

Just as design objects, these are things of beauty, even thought they are intended for warfare. I always liked, as a kid, the big minie balls depicted on some of the monuments at Gettysburg.
