Original H.E. Leman Trade Rifle For Sale (NOT A SHOOTER) [This is a wall hanger not to be shot because of the poor condition on barrel not shown when looking at the rifle. Several gunsmiths have warned of the poor condition under the stock] - DO NOT ATTEMPT TO LOAD OR SHOOT THIS GUN. This is an original rifle from the 1840's that has seen better days, it's a great wall hanger to be looked at and wish if it could only talk, what tales it could share .....

I purchased this rifle so the gunsmiths at GRRW Collectors Association could study how an original Leman was constructed. The rifle was taken part, notes made and reassembled with the above WARNING - DO NOT ATTEMPT TO LOAD OR SHOOT THIS GUN -. At the time I paid $1,000.00 plus shipping, morew than what was worth but we needed a sample.

I invested $1,000 or make an offer ....

What kind of a hammer nose-nipple-bolster arrangement is that?

This rifle looks to be in better shape than more than 1/2 the stuff I see for sale, beautiful piece.
