Good job, particularly with a pistol. Can't wait to get out there myself. Our season here in southern middle TN started on August 28 but I like to wait until the end of October to get started. Hard to wait that long but, here, they seem to be eat up with ticks, fleas, and parasites when it is this hot and humid. Might have to take my .45 KY pistol out and try to do the same. Happy hunting.

Did a little good again today. It was 82 degrees, so i was having to skin them as i went and stick them in my fanny pack with ice. I did manage to get a few good pictures though.

Ended up with 4 squirrels and one rabbit. I'd kill one and sit there and quietly skin him with my ears open, and it seemed like just about the time I was pulling out the back meat, like clockwork, another squirrel would start fussing on a different hill side, and off I'd go...

Ran into a little Elk sign high up in one of the saddles I passed through; Which was a bit surprising, actually. While we do have elk, this was the first I've seen of them inhabiting this area in particular. I'd always just assumed they werent here, and hadnt really ever had reason to question it.
