Make and mend day. Took the girls out, wiped the bores, oiled them and checked for rust( none) gave the stocks a coat of wood oil rubbed in.

Have not done it yet, but loading up the pickup with 5 black powder guns and heading to the range within the next 1/2 hr, going to make them safe queens work up a sweat today

Couple of nights ago, I made a 48" hickory range rod for a friend who saw mine and "had to have a new one" for himself. Gifted it to him and he was tickled pink (looked pink anyway).

Shuffling piles to finally get all range rods, cleaning rods, patches, cleaning stuff in one place. Next on "the list" ...same thing for caps, primers, flints. This will take awhile.

Confirmed to a correspondent the year that the barrel on his Parker-Hale Whitworth was proofed.
